MY BAGEL STORY

My name is Adam Dealan-de and I was inspired to make authentic bagels from my experience over 25 years ago in Vancouver Canada.


At the age of 19, I moved to the Kitsilano neighborhood in Vancouver and got a job at a downtown coffee shop. I remember one wet winter morning on my way to work at 5am, I left my apartment to walk across the Burrard Street bridge, stepped outside and was surprised by a delicious smell wafting through the air.


The streets were empty, but activity in a little bagel shop by the water caught my attention. They had a huge stove visible through their windows, and I could see bakers making hot and chewy Montreal-style bagels. I had never seen a bagel shop before and was compelled to try one. My first bite was heavenly! I did not realize what a true bagel would taste like, not at all like the bready donuts I knew of.


The desire for those unforgettable bagels never left me, and the idea of offering a real bagel experience in my community has always been in the back of my mind. And now I am proud to offer you Adam's Bagels!


Our bagels are handmade with 6 simple, high quality, unique ingredients:

  • Non-GMO family grown Montana flour
  • Wildflower Honey
  • Organic coconut oil
  • Sea salt
  • Yeast
  • Artesian well water
